This morning, as I was heading up the stairs, I met Cecily coming down. She was walking carefully with one hand out, palm up, and fingers closed over palm. Curious, I asked what she had. Very seriously, she opened her fingers just a bit and said with a tone of wonder, “air”. We both continued on our way but I was looked back down the stairs, she was still walking in the same way while saying to herself, “I’m holding air”.
