They are nineteen months apart and similar enough in size for people to ask before really looking, “are they twins?”. Most agree that they look quite different from each other; one more like her mama, the other like her daddy. And  their personalities are also very different. Sometimes the eldest hugs far too tight or resorts to a push or hit to stop the little sister from taking something. The younger one has this liking for for knocking over towers and she thinks that to dart in, steal a toy, and dart off is the greatest fun. I am called to wipe tears caused by the other one fairly regularly in the day and they are still learning how to play together. And I hope that when they are grown, that they will be dear friends.

And they build towers together.

They snuggle with their daddy.

They "row, row your boat" around the kitchen.

They wear matching pjs at Aneliese's insistence and read together.

The older one shows the little one how to get home.

Like we have fun together

and how we love each other, my sisters.

And brothers are pretty great too!
